Challenge & Opportunity

In partnership with the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), and Ready Set Rocket, Interbrand launched Interbrand Breakthrough Brands, a global list recognizing 40 global start-ups in emerging markets.

Interbrand Breakthrough Brands discover and celebrate the next generation of brands—the start-ups, upstarts, challengers, problem solvers, innovators, and category creators that are embodying growth. We were excited to bring the Breakthrough Brands’ stories to life.

• How can we develop an identity that expresses each breakthrough brand’s growth, relevance, and innovation?

• How can we adapt the Interbrand’s recently refreshed brand identity to develop a consistent and engaging experience for Breakthrough Brands?

Process

With Interbrand’s recent rebrand after 41 years, Interbrand Breakthrough Brands was a playground to experiment and explore how the brand can extend itself. Jasmine worked with the Executive Creative Director, Creative Technologist and team to ideate, visualize an identity and experience throughout all touch points.

Visual Strategy

After iterating on ideas, it was discovered that a new view on growth by using data to express the breakthrough brands’ stories could be shared. This data driven identity explains each brand’s growth trajectory while displaying their social engagement on the web. This new experience allowed users to interact with the system, through the Interbrand website, report, and event.
